My Rhinoplasty and Metal-Free Chin Surgery In Korea Photo Diary
What I Noticed Before Surgery
I became increasingly aware of the relationship between my nose and chin, particularly in photographs taken from the side or at an angle.
I did not want to copy somebody else’s features or pursue a “perfect” profile. I wanted my face to have a softer, more connected flow from the nose to the chin while preserving the features that made me recognizable.

The Reason I Chose Two Procedures
At first, I thought about changing only my nose. As I considered my facial profile more carefully, however, I realized that focusing on one feature might not address my overall concern.
That led me to consider rhinoplasty and metal-free chin-tip reduction together. My aim was not to make either feature stand out. I wanted them to complement each other more naturally when my face was viewed as a whole.
Finding the Right Clinic for Me
Because the procedures involved two different areas of my face, I wanted a clinic that would evaluate their proportions together. Made Young’s focus on individualized planning was relevant to that goal.
I was also interested in its metal-free approach to eligible chin procedures, which the clinic describes as avoiding metal plates and screws for fixation. The availability of a separate postoperative care center was another point I considered when reviewing the recovery process. The exact methods used in my case were based on my individual assessment.
The First Few Days
My Days 3–5 photographs were taken much too early to evaluate the result. My nose and lower face were still in the initial healing stage, and postoperative swelling affected how the different areas looked together.
Instead of judging every detail, I used these photographs simply to document the beginning of the process. They now provide helpful context when placed beside the later images.

Watching My Features Settle
Even after one month, I could still see some swelling around my nose and chin. Still, the overall direction was already becoming clearer. When I compared my Month 1 photos with the before-surgery images, I felt that my features were beginning to look more balanced. It was exciting to get an early sense of how the final result might develop.

By Month 4, most of the visible swelling appeared to have settled, and I felt that I could finally appreciate the result more fully. My nose and chin looked more naturally connected from different angles, which was exactly what I had hoped for. The change did not feel excessive or unfamiliar—it simply made my overall profile feel more harmonious. I was very happy when I compared these photographs with where I had started.

At six months, I felt even more comfortable with my appearance. Looking back through the complete photo timeline made me appreciate how gradually everything had changed. My goal was never a dramatic transformation. I wanted my nose and chin to complement each other while still feeling like my own features, and I was genuinely happy with how naturally they seemed to fit together.
